Retired Educators Day 2021 Retired Educators Day

Sunday, November 7th is Retired Educators Day. We are so thankful for all of our retired educators who have made lasting impacts on our school system. We will always remember the difference you have made!

Welcome to Jefferson Elementary School!

Dear Friends,

It is indeed a pleasure to welcome you to the 2021-22 school year at Jefferson Elementary School. The JES staff joyously accepts into our outstretched arms the most precious commodity anyone can receive, our community’s children.  We pledge to you our passion for the individual security, safety, and success of each child.  Our staff, parents, and Jefferson City Schools hold a shared vision. We seek to provide high-quality education in a warm and nurturing environment where everyone reaches his or her highest potential. We are known for students who enjoy school, a staff that is committed to excellence, and a supportive parent network.  All of this makes JES a beautiful place to be! It is our goal that all students will leave JES able to read, write, and compute at levels that will enable them to experience academic success for the rest of their lives. We do so in an environment where we nourish a love of learning so that our students become lifelong learners.  To ensure attainment of this goal, the JES staff dedicates itself to the use of sound instructional practices that address the needs of the whole child and high-quality materials including the integration of technology throughout the curriculum.

We have found that what we as parents value or believe defines what is important to our children. When we value education and believe it is essential, so will our children. It is an honor and a privilege to partner with you in the pursuit of this worthy endeavor. Your child’s education is our priority.  I am excited and grateful to be working with such a talented and dedicated staff in a school where parent and community support abound. Children are our most treasured natural resource. We take our responsibility seriously to collaborate with you as we seek to nourish, protect, and develop children during their years with us. Thank you for your trust in us.  I look forward to another great year at JES!

Yours faithfully,
Annette Beckwith
