Welcome to Jefferson High School!

Dear Jefferson High School Students and Parents,

The last couple of months have been a challenge for all. I am amazed at how our faculty, staff, students and parents rose to the occasion and made a difficult situation into a moment when we met the challenges and exceeded expectations. I look forward to the time when we will all be together again.

Our administration, teachers, and support staff are committed to making a difference in the lives of our students. We will continue to have high academic expectations for our students and provide supportive systems to ensure they are met. We will strive to improve our school culture. We want all of our students to feel welcomed, valued and know that all Dragons matter.

Communication with all stakeholders is essential to student success. Our parents play a vital role in our school culture. The success of Jefferson High School began many years ago because of the strong commitment from the Jefferson community and our stakeholders.

I am pleased to share some of the exciting and outstanding programs at Jefferson High School. JHS extends a variety of academic offerings including Honors and Advanced Placement courses. We offer 26 pathways in various careers and technical classrooms. The fine arts program continues to excel in areas within and beyond the classroom. We provide many extracurricular and cocurricular opportunities for our students. Our athletic program has been extremely successful over the years. The clubs and civic organizations that are available for students at JHS ensure that all students have an opportunity to learn and grow beyond the classroom.

The Jefferson City School System is a system that has been built on tradition and excellence. Our remarkable staff, involved parents, and committed students make Jefferson High School a wonderful place to learn and work.
