JCS Approves Ezra Crumley as New Varsity Men’s Head Soccer Coach

The Jefferson City School System is proud to announce that Ezra Crumley has been hired as the next Head Varsity Men’s Soccer Coach at Jefferson High School. Coach Crumley brings seven successful years of head coaching experience with him to Jefferson. From 2018 to 2022, Coach Crumley served as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Lanier High School, where he won a Region Championship in 2021. Before his time at Lanier High School, Coach Crumley was the head coach for East Jackson High School from 2015 until 2017, where he finished as a region runner-up and led his team to a sweet 16 appearance. Coach Crumley has qualified for the postseason in five out of his six years as a head soccer coach. The 2020 season was suspended due to COVID-19. 

Aside from his new role with the soccer team, Coach Crumley will also serve as an assistant coach for the JHS football team. JCS Athletic Director Bill Navas says, “Throughout the interview process, Ezra proved to be the best fit for our men’s soccer program. His teams at East Jackson and Lanier have demonstrated success, but more importantly, his teams demonstrated sportsmanship. We are very excited about the direction Coach Crumley will take our men’s soccer program.”
