Jamie Cathcart

Jamie Cathcart

My name is Jamie Cathcart, and I am the counselor at Jefferson Academy. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida State University, a master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and an educational specialist degree in School Counseling from Georgia Southern University. Over the past 22 years, I have worked as a career counselor at Georgia Southern University, an academic advisor at Savannah College of Art and Design, and a high school counselor. I am currently starting my first year as the counselor at Jefferson Academy and look forward to working with all the JA students and families.

I can provide students with support in one-on-one, small group, or large group settings to assist with issues that present roadblocks to academic success. I also facilitate preventative guidance programs and assist students and families with connecting to outside resources. You may contact me at jamie.cathcart@jeffcityschools.org
