Free & Reduced Meals

Jefferson City Schools encourages all of our families to complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application each year to determine eligibility for receiving meals at reduced or no cost.  

Applications for free or reduced meals are accepted all year long; however, families should complete the application prior to the start of school so their children can receive eligible benefits right away. Families who are unsure if their children are eligible are encouraged to complete the form.

Only one application is needed per household, and all information is private and confidential. The easiest and fastest way to apply is through the Parent Portal (click More and then click Meal Benefits). Once in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, click on MORE and then click MEAL BENEFITS.

Paper copies are available upon request at each of our schools.

Students receiving SNAP and/or TANF food assistance are eligible for free meals, and these families are still encouraged to complete and submit the application before the first day of school on August 1, 2024.

By completing the Free and Reduced Meal application, students deemed eligible for free or reduced meals may also become eligible for a variety of scholarship opportunities as well as waivers and/or reductions in application or exam fees such as the SAT, ACT or AP exams, among others.
