The Jefferson City Schools Book Mobile is back for its third summer, rolling into neighborhoods once again to bring books, smiles and special guests to students of all ages!

What is the Book Mobile?

The JCS Book Mobile is a traveling library packed with exciting books and weekly surprises. Whether you're a returning reader or visiting for the first time, all JCS students are welcome at every stop — even if it's not your neighborhood. Walk-up readers are always encouraged to join the fun!

2025 Theme: Build Your Inner D.R.A.G.O.N.

This summer, students will explore books and hands-on activities that inspire confidence, creativity and perseverance. Each week features a new focus designed to build strong, well-rounded learners.

• D – Diving into Books with Administrators
  Build confidence and a love for reading through shared stories with school leaders.

• R – Read with a Hometown Hero
  Build respect and connection by reading with real-life community heroes who make a difference every day.

• A – Appreciate the Arts
  Build creativity and self-expression through music, movement, and visual arts.

• G – Grow with BIOSTEAM
  Build curiosity and critical thinking through hands-on science, environmental learning, and exploration.

• O – Own What You Eat
  Build healthy habits and awareness through engaging activities focused on nutrition and wellness.

• N – Never Give Up: Sports & Teamwork
  Build perseverance through games, athletic challenges, and learning from role models who embody determination and team spirit.

Special guests will join us at select stops throughout the summer, including Thursday visits to JES and JA. Walk-up students are always welcome to stop by and join the fun!

Schedule & Details

The 2025 season kicks off Tuesday, June 3 and runs through Thursday, July 17.
