Four Jefferson High School students have been named semifinalists for the prestigious Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP). Caleb Leslie, Emmett Trippe, Mikaela Kelley and Kaitlyn Martin have all advanced to the interview stage of this highly competitive program.
Among the talented wrestlers of Jefferson High School, two athletes stand out as elite competitors: Roman Belardo and Dallas Russell, both juniors. Their dedication, discipline and leadership continue to set them apart as they prepare for the upcoming AAA traditional wrestling state championship.

The Jefferson Middle School Academic Team represented Jefferson City Schools at the PAGE Academic Bowl State Championship, competing as one of just 24 teams statewide. Their journey to the state level was secured in December when they claimed first place at the Region 6 competition.

The Jefferson High School Swim Dragons had a standout performance at the GHSA State Swimming Championships on February 5-6 at Georgia Tech. The team brought home two individual state titles, a third-place team finish for the girls with only four swimmers, seven new school records, six top-three podium finishes and 15 top-10 performances.
