Veterans Day Ceremony

Jefferson City Schools honored Veterans Day with virtual and socially distanced ceremonies. 

Jefferson High School held a Veterans Day ceremony Wednesday morning at the Arena.

Superintendent Dr. Donna McMullan opened the ceremony and was followed by the Presenting of Colors by the JHS AFJROTC. 

Major Wayne Magnuson, AFJROTC, recognized JHS graduates who currently serve in the Armed Forces and welcomed guest speaker, Lieutenant Joe Rutter, USN. 

The JHS ceremony closed with the service melodies of each branch played by the Jefferson High School Band, and "In Flanders Fields," sang by the JHS Women's Ensemble Dragon A Capella Choir. 

The JHS Veterans Day ceremony was live streamed and followed social distancing guidelines. To watch the ceremony, click HERE

Jefferson Middle School also held a virtual Veterans Day ceremony. 

The JMS ceremony was live streamed to students and was produced by Digital Learning Specialist Kris Plummer.
