School Board Appreciation Week for Georgia - March 15-19, 2021

Posted On: Friday, March 5, 2021

The Jefferson City School System is honored to join Governor Brian Kemp and the Georgia School Boards Association in saluting our school board members for their dedicated service and commitment to excellence.  The JCS Board of Education has approximately 120 years of combined service, which is a tremendous accomplishment.

The extraordinary leadership of the board members is vital to the success of Jefferson City Schools. The Board’s vision, direction, and advocacy for public education enable JCS to provide quality educational services, allowing all students the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential.

The continued support from the JCS Board of Education for our state-of-the-art facilities and quality resources equip our staff to provide our students with challenging and rigorous instruction, social-emotional learning, and digital literacy. This combination empowers our schools to uphold the legacy in educational excellence that is central to the mission and vision of Jefferson City Schools.

We look forward to recognizing our board members at the BOE meeting scheduled on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  Additionally, feature articles highlighting our board members will be included in the weekly newsletter, beginning on Friday, March 12, 2021. This will allow our students, parents, staff, and community members to learn more about those serving on the Jefferson City School System Board of Education.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the members of our Board of Education for their contributions and unwavering service to the parents and children of the Jefferson community.  Thank you for the great work you do and the impact you make in the lives of young people every day!  Each board member plays an instrumental role in our continued success.
