JHS 2021 SAT Results Surpass State and National Averages

The Georgia Department of Education recently released the school, district, and state-level SAT scores for the Class of 2021. Jefferson High School earned a mean SAT composite score of 1123, which exceeds both state and national averages. The Jefferson City School System ranks 13th in the state based on these results. According to the Georgia Department of Education, this is the fourth year in a row that Georgia public schools have outperformed the national SAT score average.

“With all of the challenges of last school year, we are extremely proud of our students and teachers for maintaining the high level of academic excellence evidenced by our 2021 SAT scores, which remained consistent with 2020 numbers and were well above the state average scores,” said JHS Principal Rob McFerrin. “Thank you for the commitment and hard work from our JCS leaders, teachers, and students that allow Jefferson High School to continue to improve.”

The Georgia DOE also cited these results as a testament to the hard work of Georgia educators despite the unprecedented challenges that commenced over the past year and a half.
