A. G. “Buster” Parks Memorial Military Scholarship
The Arthur Guy “ Buster” Parks Scholarship goes to a senior JROTC cadet. Buster, from Pendergrass, served -during WWII with the 195th Field Artillery Battalion in Europe.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Graduating Senior
- Must be accepted and enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Financial need will be taken into consideration
- Joining the Armed Forces
- Must be a senior who has been outstanding in ROTC
Wayne Magnusson JROTC Leadership Scholarship
Scholarship Criteria:
- Must be college or trade school bound, or enlisting in the Armed Forces.
- Cumulative 3.2 GPA or Higher
- Must have 50 hours of community service over the four years of high school.
- Must have held a leadership position on JROTC group staff.
- Must be an active JROTC member for at least three years.
Andre & Daisy Gonzales Diversity Scholarship
Purpose of Scholarship: To promote higher education and service among students from historically underrepresented groups.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Member of the senior class
- The recipient should have a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Must be accepted and enrolled in an accredited college, university, technical school, or joining the Armed Forces
- Active JROTC member for at least three years (preferred)
- The recipient must be part of a historically underrepresented group
