Jefferson High School 9/11 Presentation Raising the flag

The Jefferson High School Airforce JROTC conducted the annual 9/11 presentation on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 8:45 AM. Special community guests in attendance were the members from the Jefferson Fire Department, Jefferson Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the City of Jefferson Mayor and Councilmen, among other veterans, first responders, and community members.

Pink Out Shirt Order Pink Out

The JHS pink-out game is coming up on October 1st. You can help support breast cancer research by purchasing the shirt below. The deadline to order is September 16th. Below is the link and the flyer with more details. All proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

JCS Ranks Among the Top in the Area & State of Georgia on Milestones Assessments 2020-2021 Milestones Rankings

The Georgia Department of Education recently released the 2020-2021 Georgia Milestones End of Grade and End of Course Assessment results. Jefferson City Schools ranks among the top in the area and state of Georgia. Read the full press release here

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, Jefferson City Schools is proud to release the 2020-2021 Annual Report. JCS is extremely thankful for all of our staff, students, parents, and community members that made this past school year possible. This report highlights all of the components contributing to our legacy of educational excellence.

FoodFinder is a mobile and web app that allows families to find food distribution sites (including food pantries, drive-through distributions, and school meal providers) based on location.

City of Jefferson Implementing Traffic Safety Program to Reduce Speeding in School Zones School Zone Speed Enforcement Program

Please be mindful of the School Zone Automated Photo Speed Enforcement Program coming to our District. The enforcement will begin Wednesday, December 16, 2020. A warning period will be given until February 1, 2021.

Letter to Parents: School Nutrition update

Jefferson City Schools will offer meals to students at no cost until December 31, 2020, or until USDA funding runs out - whichever comes first.

Former Jefferson City Schools Superintendent, Dr. John Jackson, was recognized and celebrated for his 27 years of leadership at the District Thursday evening at the Jefferson High School Arena.

Attached are the JCS Response Protocols for COVID-19, which outline the procedures for communicating how suspected and positive COVID-19 cases will be handled in the school setting. Additionally, the document outlines specific procedures for returning to school or work after a quarantine.
