Pre-Approved Absences
Out-of-town trips are not excused unless a student makes arrangements with teachers well in advance of a trip so that work to be missed may be done before the student leaves. This special form is used for notification of teachers (the form is also available in the middle school office). A student will not be approved to miss more than five (5) days for a prearranged absence. All prearranged absences will count toward the 15 days absent from school. The parent should notify the school in writing on the pre-approved absence form of the days to be missed. This notification must be received at least three (3) school days prior to the days to be missed.
