PARENTS:  JMS needs parent support for PATS and for school council.  Please email lpals@jeffcityschools.org if you are interested in joining our team!

Q. WHAT IS PATS? 
A.  PATS is the teacher & parent support organization of JMS which has been formed to assist the students, school, and parents in many ways.  We host social events for the students and families, provide financial and tangible assistance to fulfill school and teacher wish lists, host Student Recognition celebrations, and more.  PATS is a self-supporting group with active and involved parents and teachers.  We hope you will join us!

Q.  How do I become involved and support my child's school?
A.  By doing the following:

• Attend our regularly scheduled meetings and provide your input.  Parents, Faculty and Community are welcome to participate – no membership fees!

• Attend and/or assist at our JMS PATS social and family events.

• Consider volunteering in one of our many programs:

  • as a community expert--we want Jefferson parents to play an active role as partners in the school curriculum.  Let us know your job background and special interests on our volunteer form during school registration or contact us at the main school office!

  • as a school store attendant or spiritwear fundraiser

  • as a Mentor for the widely acknowledged JMS Mentoring Program, and/or proctoring during standardized testing.

  • Clip Boxtops for Education and submit them to the JMS front office. 

  • Recycle inkjet, laser and fax cartridges as well as used cell phones.  Drop items at the JMS front office.  Pick up service is provided for multiple items.

  • Help in library book fairs (Fall and Spring).  We need decorators, sellers, and organizers!

It Pays to Save!

Please continue to save your used ink cartridges and Box Tops throughout the summer. This will give us a big jump on the new school year! Thank you to all who have saved and donated--those little contributions really add up!  $$$

Come visit your school store for the latest Olympic Day spirit items!  Open from 7:30 to 7:50.

Once again, we have had an awesome year at the school store, providing school supplies and snacks to prepare students for school.  We are in need of  volunteers for the store.  Each volunteer works one morning each week from 7:30-7:50.  If you can help, please notify the main office.
