Yukon Ho! Your teacher has just given you one of these fascinating topics that you will soon encounter in the book The Call of the Wild:
DAY 1: Today we will take our topic and ask questions! Activity One: Write 2 questions about your topic. If you don't know anything, then ask: "What is a gold rush?" or "what is a sled dog?" This is the best place to start. Activity Two: Let's view a few pictures about our topics. As you look at the photos, write down any questions that pop into your mind! PHOTO LINK (Local network only) Activity Three: Skim the short, one-page article on your topic. Write at least 5 more questions! DAY 2. Today we will discuss: (1) how and where to find answers to our questions, (2) how to take notes, and (3) how to remember where you found something.
