AFJROTC Takes State
The Jefferson AFJROTC program put on a great show this past weekend at the State Drill Meet hosted in Macon, GA. The Armed Colorguard, Unarmed Colorguard, Armed Exhibition, Unarmed Exhibition, Armed Regulation, and Unarmed Regulation Teams showed great sportsmanship and discipline as they competed. The Armed Regulation, Unarmed Colorguard, Unarmed Exhibition, and Unarmed Regulation Teams won, earning 1st place, and the Armed Exhibition and Armed Colorguard Teams were close behind, coming in 2nd.
Our great performance would not have been possible without strong leadership by the team commanders:
Armed Colorguard | Ana | Arce |
Unarmed Colorguard | Daniel | Stump |
Armed Exhibition | Hunter | Faulkner |
Unarmed Exhibition | Larissa | Denninger |
Armed Regulation | Ethan | Toms |
Unarmed Regulation | Brianna | Nalley |
Additionally, Brianna Nalley was awarded the First Place Outstanding Commander trophy for exceeding expectations in commanding her flight. Ethan Toms was awarded the Second Place Commander trophy. Congratulations!
None of this could have been possible without our talented and encouraging instructors, Major Magnusson and Chief Master Sergeant Willis, and therefore, we would like to extend a special thanks to both of them for continued excellence in drill.
