Please keep in mind there will be no Distance and Digital Learning March 30 – April 3 due to Spring Break.
In compliance with the Executive Order signed by Gov. Brian Kemp, students will resume Distance and Digital Learning Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 24. Students are scheduled to return to campus for face-to-face instruction April 27; however, this is subject to change as circumstances arise.
Beginning April 6 through April 24, Jefferson City Schools will operate under a modified Digital Learning schedule.
The schedule is as follows:
- Monday – Thursday (April 6 – 9; April 13 – 16; April 20 - 23) are designated Digital Learning Days for students.
- Fridays (April 10, 17, 24) are designated Professional Learning and Staff Workdays (Re-fresh Fridays).
We believe “Re-fresh Fridays” will enhance academic success in a digital learning environment while also nurturing the social and emotional well-being of students and staff. Students will not be given new assignments on Fridays; however, students are expected to use their time wisely and complete other assignments, projects, make-up work, etc.
- Students are scheduled to return to campus April 27.
The Grab & Go Meal Program will also operate under a modified schedule during Spring Break (March 30 – April 3).
Meal deliveries are scheduled at current locations, but will take place on Monday, March 30 and Thursday, April 2. A 3-day meal supply will be given to students Monday and a 2-day supply will be given Thursday. Please see the attached announcement.
Following Spring Break, the meal program will continue the current schedule for April 6 – April 24.
We appreciate the support, patience and leadership we have received from our students, staff, families and community as we have transitioned into Distance and Digital Learning. We will continue to update stakeholders of any changes to our operations as information becomes available.
