The Manatee Project by Mrs. Simmons's 7th Graders

This week the 7th Grade Simmons Life Science class learned about basic organisms, as well as how you can tell life for mammals and plants. They performed a project that is called the "Manatee Project". In this project Mrs. Simmons handed the students a potato that represented the animal. Next the students would locate scars on the "manatee" and find the weight, height, and width of the potato. Next week they will get more into detail with the life of organisms and finish up the manatee project.
