Scholarship House

students must have spent at least 12 months in foster care, have been under guardianship of someone other than your biological parents for 12 months or have been adopted out of foster care at 16 or older.

Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation

The Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation will award a minimum of 61 scholarships to meritorious students who may use the award to fund their education at any accredited, post-secondary institution in the field of study of their choice.  A minimum of $101,000 will be awarded to high school students this year. To qualify for a scholarship a student must be a legal resident of the U.S. and demonstrate academic ability. Applications are available online at www.ecisf.org or in the scholarship file in the library.


Gainesville State College

The Division of Social Sciences at Gainesville State College will award scholarships to qualified students who are interested in pursuing a major in one of the following areas: Anthropology, Criminal Justice, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Social Work, and Sociology. The scholarship can fund up to a maximum of in-state tuition and fees.  Check the scholarship file in the library for more information.

            For using the website, a $1,000 scholarship is drawn twice each year.  There is also a $2,000 student scholarship given away four times per year.  There is no few for signing up for the this random scholarship drawing.  Sign up by going to www.anycollege.com and clicking on the “Win a Scholarship” link.


Discover Card Tribute Award Scholarship Program
Juniors with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA for the 9th and 10th grades who demonstrate leadership, are actively contributing to their communities and have experienced and overcome a significant obstacle(s) in their lives are eligible.  There are up to ten $25,000 national scholarships and up to 300 $2,500 scholarships.

U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Scholarship
The recipient of this scholarship may attend any college/university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico that has an AFROTC program on campus or at a cross town affiliated college or university. The scholarship will cover:

Minimum requirements for this program are a 3.25 GPA and a 26 ACT score or 1180 SATscore (cumulative Math and Verbal).  Applicants must also pass a Physical Fitness Test; an Air Force Officer Qualification Test; a DOD physical exam and be interviewed by an Air Force Officer.

Emory University's Business School's Goizueta Scholars Program
Success nominees will have superior academic credentials, and will have demonstrated interest in business, as evidenced by engagement in entrepreneurial activities, participation in internships, membership in business clubs, and/or involvement in business-related conferences, competitions, and similar offerings.  Leadership and community service are also important components in the selection process, and candidates who bring diverse perspectives and backgrounds are of special interest.
