Service Projects - Food Drive
 

Tay Damons, Emmy Fleming, and Samantha Dial in front of the Food Bank donation drop-off area outside of JES.

 1319 items were donated to the Jefferson Food Bank at First Baptist.

The Character Education Committee sponsored a food drive to benefit the Jefferson Food Bank on

December 10-18, 2007. 

Items donated that reflected their greatest needs were:

1.  Dry mashed potatoes

2.  2 pound bags of flour, corn meal, or corn muffin mix

3.  Spaghetti and spaghetti sauce

4.  Jelly

5.  Peanut butter

6.  Canned tuna, chicken, or other meats

7.  Instant grits

8.  Stick Crisco

9.  Ramen noodles

10. Chunky soups (not beef stew)

11.  Canned fruits

12. Ensure

All classrooms received a token of appreciation for the spirit of caring, giving, and compassion.
