Dear Parents, Guardians, and Stakeholders,

It is with great anticipation that I welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year at Jefferson Elementary School. After serving Jefferson City Schools for the past eleven years, I look forward to this new position and commit myself to giving the very best I have for this outstanding school community. I continue to feel extremely fortunate to have the privilege of working alongside knowledgeable and committed parents, staff, and faculty who hold high expectations for students and themselves.

It is my hope that each person who enters our doors will sense and experience our commitment to excellence. It is our desire that JES will continue to be a place where a love for learning is instilled and where all are firmly grounded in the certainty that they can achieve their goals. Our goal is to communicate “hopefulness” and a belief in the power of students and teachers to work together to improve learning and life.

Similar to the desires I hold for my own children, I want the best for each of your children. Please do not hesitate to share your thoughts regarding your child’s school experience. Your concerns, ideas, and comments are appreciated and respected. Communication is vital to success and to our overall growth and sense of community here at JES. We want to be proud of our school and students and you are an important part of the partnership we hope to develop with all of our families.
